Sold: Bakdeksalonkruiser classic steel motor yacht, well equipped and comfortable interior
General: The Bakdeksalonkruiser is a unique motor yacht with a characteristic high bow and a spacious sundeck behind the wheelhouse. After the current owner bought the saloon cruiser in 1991, he stripped the yacht and rebuilt it completely, with adjustments to improve the comfort on board and the sailing capabilities. The original hull shape has been preserved. The steel hull is nailed and replaced skin plates are welded. The wheelhouse has doors on both sides, there are two steering positions inside and on deck. You can walk around the deck on the gangway. On the foredeck is a manual windlass and an electric bow thruster assists with maneuvering. The Yacht looks well in the white paint of De IJssel. In the spring of 2022, the underwater hull was completely stripped and repainted with 2 layers of Hempel 1575 primer, 3 layers of Hempadur coating 4514-3, Hempel Globic fixed antifouling, Jotun 2 k. primer and Hempel Olympic self-sacrificing antifouling. With the limited draft and air draft, the sailing area is extensive.
Interior: The wheelhouse is spacious and has a steering position, settee and cupboard space. Behind the wheelhouse on starboard is another settee with a well-equipped galley on port side, with refrigerator, sink, 4 burner gas stove and geyser for hot water. More aft is a cabin with a double bed, washbasin and spacious cupboards. The Peugeot Indenor diesel engine is easily accessible through various hatches in the wheelhouse. The interior is beautifully finished with oak veneer and fitted all around with windows in aluminum frames for sufficient light. In the front cabin there are two single beds with also the toilet space on the port side and a spacious wardrobe on the starboard side. The saloon cruiser is very suitable for comfortably staying on board with 4 people.
