Sold: Bavaria 36 seaworthy cruiser, well equipped, spacious interior with lots of comfort
General: The Bavaria 36-2 is a spacious, stable and comfortable cruising yacht. The Bavaria 36 is well-built and seaworthy with CE category A. The handling is simple and suitable for sailing with a family or small crew. The cockpit is spacious, the ergonomically shaped benches are laid in with teak and the entry through the open transom is excellent. The cockpit is also equipped with a custommade set of outdoor cushions and a sunscreen. At the helm are the steering wheel, throttle, motorpanel, GPS chartplotter, autopilot controls, compass and folding cockpit table. The log / depth sounder and anemometer are clearly visible next to the cabin entrance. Both the sheets and the halyards are operated from the cockpit with the Lewmar self-tailing winches. This Bavaria 36 has been well maintained by the current owner and has a number of interesting improvements. Around 2015 this Bavaria 36 was equipped with a Sidepower bowthruster incl. two separate batteries (EUR 11000). Several other renewals were added at the time, such as Radar, AIS, bilge pump etc. In 2021 the entire hull was repainted and new antifouling applied on the underwater hull (EUR 7000). Documentation incl. VAT declaration and CE owner’s manual are present.
Interior: The interior has a practical layout, with a chart table and switch panel to starboard next to the companion way. Just aft is the Heads, with double sink, hand shower, pump toilet and cupboards. The toilet can be covered with a lid when showering. An 80L waste water tank is also part of the equipment. The galley on the port side is well equipped with double stainless steel sink, gimballed gas stove with oven, top loading cool box and cupboard space. The private aft cabin has a spacious double bed with cabinet and closet. The interior has a warm ambiance thanks to the mahogany woodwork with good headroom of approx. 1.85 m. The settee benches offer proper seating at the large wooden saloon table with folding leaf. The backrests can be folded up for extra sleeping berths. Thanks to the many deck hatches and portholes, the Bavaria 36 has good light and optimal ventilation options. A boiler provides hot water for the Heads, galley and outdoor shower. In the forepeak is a spacious private cabin with V-bed and wardrobes on both sides. The hot air heating provides comfort on cold days.
