Sold: Classic Double Ender steel sailboat completely refurbished and with modern equipment
General: Classic double ender sailing yacht originally from 1928 and by design of Max Oertz with very beautiful lines. In 2006, the sailing yacht has been refitted entirely at De Plaete boatyard. The nailed hull has been completely blasted from the inside and outside and then repainted. The steel cabin roof and deck have been newly welded, keeping the original design. The sailing yacht has made several sea voyages in the North Sea and Baltic Sea with both current and previous owners. Various deck fittings such as bollards are very robust. The Sabb diesel engine was built in 1998 and is a reliable power source. The engine is redundantly equipped with a dual fuel filter with manual switch. The sailing yacht has a wide range of modern equipment, such as various navigation equipment, autopilot, an electric bow thruster and windlass. There is a complete sail quiver including mainsail, jib with wooden boom, furling genoa and spinnaker with hoisting sleeve. The wooden mast can be lowered with a mast lowering system. The sprayhood shields the cabin entrance and equipment.
Interior: TThe interior has a practical layout and was completely refurbished in 2006 with waterproof plywood. The headroom in the cabin is approximately 1.80 m. Next to the companionway entrance on SB is a chart table with switch panel and meters. On the portside is a galley with sink, running water, stove and 12V coffee maker. The settee benches can be used as a sleeping berth by raising the back supports. The table can be stowed out of the way and can also be used as a cockpit table. In the forepeak is a V-bed with comfortable mattresses, separated from the cabin by a curtain. Between the cabin and the forepeak is an electric flushing toilet with a waste water tank on portside. On the SB side there is a handy open storage cabinet. The Webasto hot air heater provides comfort on colder days.
