Doerak 7.80

Sold: Doerak 7.80 steel motorboat with cockpit cover, practical interior and in well-kept condition

General: The Doerak 7.80 is a well-known compact steel motor boat. With its limited draft and vertical clearance, the Doerak has an enormous range on inland waterways. This model Doerak has a very spacious cockpit, with helm position, cockpit bench and seats for the skipper and a passenger. In the cockpit tent, the headroom is good at 2.00 m and with a good view through the window screen. For the winter there is a separate cockpit tent. Under the cockpit floor is a powerful Peugeot Indenor 40hp diesel engine, batteries, fuel and water tank. A solar panel charges the batteries. Behind the engine room is another very spacious compartment for storage. The complete hull, cabin roof and underwater hull were painted in 2021. The current owner has also made a number of improvements, such as a stainless steel railing and swimming platform, on which a double gas locker has been installed. The emergency tiller with attachment directly to the quadrant and the inspection tube above the propeller show that the Doerak is a well thought-out design.

Interior: The Doerak 7.80 has a surprisingly spacious interior for its dimensions and has all the ingredients for short trips or a boating holiday. The cabin is cozy but not cramped. Headroom is good at 1.85 m, with comfortable sofas, wooden folding table and TV cabinet. There is plenty of storage space in the forepeak and under the benches. You can make wide sleeping berth of the benches in the cabin by removing the backrest. Light through the large windows is excellent with good views of the surroundings. The galley has a stove, ventilation, sink with cold running water, a refrigerator and storage space for pots and pans. The heads has a pump toilet and shelves. Various handy inventory such as a separate radiant heater, various extra mooring ropes, etc. are included with the boat.
