Ericson 37

Sold: Ericson 37 classic sailing yacht with good sailing capabilities and complete sail quiver

The Ericson 37 is built in the USA and from designed by Bruce King, the classic lines of the hull are splendid. With a large sail plan and 50% ballast ratio of the keel, the Ericson 37 is a seaworthy sailing yacht that is built for speed. The sheets and halyards are operated with a multitude of winches that are placed on the cockpit coaming and the cabin roof. The mast has a double rail with attachment for two spinnaker booms. The cockpit is spacious and well-arranged. Controls for the autopilot and compass are located at the helm, the log/depth meter placed next to the cabin entrance. The traveler was later moved further aft from the bridge deck. The deck is equipped with anti-slip. The hull was painted at the boatyard in 2021. This Ericson 37 is from the second owner and has been in his possession since 1979. Import documents are available. Engine maintenance has always been done by the owner himself.

The interior is cozy with splendid woodwork, with a headroom of approx. 1.85 m. There are 2 fixed berths in the front cabin and another 2 quarter berths in the back. The settee benches and overhead pilot berths offer 4 extra berths. The cushions in the front cabin are covered with imitation leather, for pulling in the headsails. Between the front cabin and the saloon is the heads with pump toilet and sink. Opposite a spacious locker. The table in the saloon can be folded up completely for better walkthrough during sailing. The galley is equipped with a gimballed 4-burner stove with oven and a double sink. The equipment is sober, hand pumps for cold running water and large top loader storage without cooling. A gas heater warms the interior. The chart table with seat is placed next to the companionway entrance and faces forward.
