Finnclipper 34

Sold: Finnclipper 34 robust stable motorsailer with sheltered cockpit and spacious interior

General: The Finnclipper 34 is a unique motorsailer, manufactured in full glassfiber laminate at Fiskars in Finland. The hull construction is very robust and was built under the supervision of Lloyd’s class organization. The design of the hull was copied from lifeboats at the time, giving the Finnclipper the characteristics of a stable and seaworthy motorsailor. Due to the limited draft, the sailing area is large. The fixed sprayhood and the deep cockpit provide excellent protection from the elements. The cockpit can be completely covered with the cockpit tent. Under the fixed doghouse are two chairs, of which the seat can also be folded up. This makes it possible to navigate standing at the steering wheel when sailing on the motor. The powerful Perkins 78 hp diesel engine was reconditioned in 2013. Under sail you can steer with the tiller. The sheets of the headsail are operated from the cockpit and the halyards at the mast. The equipment such as the Barlow ST winches and rigging are of good quality.

Interior: TThe interior is very spacious due to the hull shape and the high cabin roof, with excellent headroom of approximately 1.85 m. The mahogany wood is stylish and of solid quality. In the cabin there is a spacious seating area with a wooden folding table, galley with running water, stove, refrigerator and various hanging closets and cupboards. There is an extra standard cooling compartment under the sofa. In the front is a private front cabin with a double v-bed. Between the cabin and the front cabin is the Heads with hand pump toilet at port and a washbasin at starboard, both can be closed with a door. The large windows bring in plenty of light and two hatches provide extra ventilation.
