Sold: Friendship 28 compact sailing yacht, well maintained, with mast lowering installation
The Friendship 28 is a handy polyester sailing yacht and is known for its timeless design and good sailing characteristics. This Friendship is equipped with a complete sail quiver and the mast can be lowered while sailing to pass a bridge. The halyards, reefing lines and sheets are led back to the cockpit. The genoas are all furling and the sheet winches are selftailing. Navigation instruments are placed under the sprayhood next to the companionway entrance and are clearly visible from the tiller. The Volvo Penta 2002 diesel engine is serviced every year. During the last maintenance, the fuel pump was replaced and the fuel tank was completely cleaned. The solar panel keeps the batteries charged. Furthermore, the keel was stripped bare in 2022 and new epoxy applied. The underwater hull was treated with new antifouling in April 2024. The current owner has owned the boat since 2000 and the Friendship is overall in good condition .
The interior is originally fitted with teak by the Yard. The settee in the cabin can be used as berths. The leaves of the saloon table can be folded. The single starboard aft berth also functions as a seat behind the chart table. At the chart table there is a switch panel, volt and ampere meters and a VHF radio. The galley on the port side has a sink, 12V compressor cool box and Origo gimballed stove that can be stowed away after use. The stove runs on alcohol, so there is no gas on board. The forward cabin has a V-berth with a double berth. Between the saloon and front cabin on the port side is the heads with Porta Potti and sliding washbasin. There is cold running water with a foot pump in the galley and heads. Opposite the heads is a practical closet. The door of the closet can also be used to close the front cabin. The door of the heads can also be used to close the forepeak. The interior is practically designed and offers sufficient comfort for weekends on the water or a sailing holiday.
