Sold: Hurley 800 Compact and seaworthy sailing yacht, well maintained and well equipped
This Hurley 800 was built by Jachtbouw Twente on behalf of the current and first owner and is in a very good condition. Despite its compact dimensions, the Hurley is a very seaworthy design. With the long keel and the high ballast part, the Hurley sails very stable. The cockpit is spacious and sheltered, with a luxurious set of cockpit cushions, cockpit table and cockpit shower. The sail quiver consists of mainsail, various furling genoa, furling jib and a storm jib. All lines are led to the cockpit, the sheet winches are self-tailing. Navigation equipment is complete with log/depth meter, compass, GPS chart plotter, VHF and autopilot. The antifouling on the underwater hull was renewed in May 2022, so this Hurley is ready for trips with a new owner.
The Hurley interior woodwork is very fine with approx. 1.80m headroom in the cabin. The cabin has two comfortable settee benches with wooden table. The spacious aft berth connects to the starboard bench. Next to the cabin entrance is also a handy extendable chart table. The backrests of the benches can also be raised when used as a berth. The galley is well equipped with a gimballed stove with gas oven, compressor cool box and sink. A boiler provides hot water. The door of the front cabin also closes off the toilet room. Above the toilet with holding tank is also a sink, which can be stowed away after use. In the front cabin is also a handy open closet. The layout of the Hurley provides a practical living space with 3 + 2 extra berths.
