Sold: One Off Peters Steel sailing yacht, sturdy construction and equipped for long voyages
General: One Off design by Peters (ex Van De Stadt & Partners) from first owner who was also closely involved in the construction of this sustainable steel sailing yacht. The ship is very suitable for sailors who want to make a long voyage. The hull is a lapstrake round bilge with 5mm steel below the waterline and 4mm above the waterline and an Epoxy paint system. The deep fin keel of approx. 5 tons gives a high degree of stability. The North Sails mainsail is hoisted at the mast with the Barient winches, there is plenty of room to work on deck. The Lee Sails roller reef genoa is operated from the cockpit with two sturdy Lewmar 55 ST winches. This yacht has a central cockpit with teak wooden benches. Compass, traveler and the winches are placed within easy reach of the steering wheel. The navigation instruments are placed under the Epoxy sprayhood. All deck equipment and fittings, such as the anchor winch with anchor chain, bollards, stays etc. are robust. The cockpit can be covered with a bimini. Solar panels, radar dome and radar reflector are mounted on a bracket aft of the cockpit. The Sailomat wind vane is presently dismounted and condition is as new.
Interior: The interior is light with a mix of teak wood paneling and white panels, with ca. 2.00m headroom under the cabin roof. The saloon has a U-shaped sofa, table with folding leaf, settee and Dickinson diesel heater. Above the seating area, pilot berths can be used as extra berths or storage space. On SB of the companionway is a navigation corner with chart table and instruments, with just aft the owners cabin with a spacious double bed (approx. L 2.00 m). At PS is the galley with double sink, compressor coolbox, gimballed gas stove with oven and plenty of cupboard space. Water in both the galley and the Heads is supplied by means of foot pumps. A water maker is installed that has never been used. A door behind the galley gives access to a corridor to the stern with two bunk beds , now used for storing accessories. This space also provides access to the steering system, rudder shaft etc. The engine is easily accessible behind the companionway steps. In the forepeak are bunk beds each with a length of approx. 2.00 m. Between the saloon and front hut is the Heads, with hand pump toilet, sink and again ample cupboard space.
