Sold: Victoire 1044 , well balanced, safe, fast and comfortable sailing yacht
The Victoire 1044 is a design by Dick Koopmans, a robust, stable and safe sailing yacht with a high level of comfort. The flowing lines and low superstructure reveal the good sailing characteristics of the 1044. The keel with a draft of 1.87m and 49% ballast guarantees a good self-righting stability. The deck has a very practical layout with plenty of room for sail handling. The entire deck is fitted with teak which determines the classic appearance. The halyards and trim lines are operated with the Andersen ST winches at the mast foot. The robust lacquered tiller provides accurate steering. The deep cockpit and sprayhood offer shelter from the elements. The sheets of the large furling genoa are operated with the ST winches placed within easy reach on the cockpit coaming. The mainsheet traveler sits just in front of the companionway providing additional trim options.
The interior has a typical classic but spacious layout. The beautiful teak woodwork with modern white leather cushions determine the atmosphere. The side windows and several escape hatches bring enough light into the cabin. Next to the companionway steps on SB is a navigation corner with chart table. The open aft cabin offers a spacious double berth with sufficient locker space. The L-shaped galley on PS is fully equipped, including double sink, gimballed gas stove with oven and top loader coolbox. Behind the galley is a handy door providing additional access to the cockpit locker, for stowing away damp sailing clothes etc. The Saloon has a L-shaped sofa with opposite a settee bench and in the middle a wooden two-leaf folding table. The forward cabin has a V-bed with in-fill for 2 persons with just in front on PS the Heads with hand pump toilet and again ample closet space. The engine is easily accessible by removing the companionway steps.
