Sold: Victoria 26 seaworthy double-ender sailing yacht, well equipped en splendid interior
General: The hull of this Victoria 26 was built in England and imported to the Netherlands by the current and first owner and then finished with high quality standard. Due to the high ballast proportion of the lead laminated keel, this sailing yacht has seaworthy sailing characteristics. The materials used and the deck fittings are of a high quality and specification. The cockpit and deck are fitted with teak. The teak of the cockpit floor has recently been renewed. In 2019 a new Vetus diesel engine and a bow thruster with joystick control were installed. The sprayhood has a special granny bar for optimum grip while sailing. Beside the cabin roof there is enough space to move over deck. The autopilot is mounted on a custom-made bracket, other navigation equipment is placed next to the cabin entrance, clearly visible from the tiller. The Hood Vectron sails are of excellent quality. A storm jib with slats can be hoisted on a removable cutterstay. On the foredeck is a manual windlass with line and strong chain. Overall, the Victoria 26 is a compact but well equipped sailing yacht. The boat is currently in a indoor winter storage and will be launched again at the end of March 2022 with new anti-fouling on the underwater hull.
Interior: The woodwork and Sunbrella upholstery of the interior are very nice and in excellent condition. Headroom is good at 1.80m. The galley, with stove, sink and cool box is located on port side next to the cabin entrance. A boiler provides hot running water for the galley and outdoor shower. The engine is located directly behind the cabin stairs and also accessible from the side. The settee benches are comfortable and can be used as extra berths. The furnishing is variable, the wooden table and chart table can be folded up when not in use. The toilet room is located between the saloon and front hut, equipped with a Vetus electric flushing toilet and equipped with holding tank that can be emptied both overboard and through a deck opening. The v-bed with infill piece in the front hut offers two comfortable berths. The Gebo escape hatch in the front was also renewed in 2019.
