Sold: Zeeschouw classic flat bottom yacht with lovely pinewood interior

General: This traditional Zeeschouw is kept in original condition, very well maintained by her current owner who has owned the ship since 1989. The steel hull with splendid classic lines is well preserved with two-component paint. The deck is spacious with wide gangways. The Oregon Pine mast, bent gaff and bowsprit have been regularly varnished. The classic sails include mainsail, genoa, jib and staysail. A mast lowering installation is also available. The halyards are attached on the steel cleat bench at the mast. The mainsheet is attached to the traveler within easy reach of the skipper. The rudder, the swords and other deck equipment such as bollards are robust. The copper sloop compass is centrally placed in the cockpit, the benches offer good seating. The anchor with manual winch are placed on the wide foredeck. A powerful Peugeot Indenor 4-cylinder diesel engine provides reliable propulsion. Due to the limited draft, the sailing area is large and the Zeeschouw is suitable for falling dry. De Zeeschouw is known for its good sailing characteristics among flat-bottomed boats.

Interior: The pine wood interior creates a warm ambiance with sufficient headroom of approx. 1.85 m. Access through the companionway with the door and large sliding hatch is very convenient . The cabin has two settee benches with blue upholstery and a large folding table. A large deck hatch overhead provides ventilation. The galley on port side next to the cabin entrance is equipped with an Origo cooker and sink with hand / foot pump. There is a spacious wardrobe on the starboard side. In the forepeak is a bed, which is spacious due to the wide hull shape. Here is an escape hatch for ventilation as well. There is also a separate Heads, where the chemical toilet is covered with a wooden hatch after use. Opposite the toilet is a spacious closet with door. Steel blocks are neatly stowed away under the floor as ballast. The Zeeschouw is suitable for sailors who like the traditional way of sailing, who wish to use the boat for day trips, weekends and possibly a longer trip for a few weeks.
